Shocking given my status as a semi-professional television recapper. I mostly watch online \u2013 <em>legally <\/em>streaming, or if on deadline, from my \u201cstanding desk\u201d \u2013 the elliptical machine at my apartment complex&#8217;s fitness room where no one else watches the shared televisions unless it&#8217;s Superbowl time.<\/p>\n<p>So Friday evening, having finished the excellent <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.netflix.com\/WiMovie\/80017537\">Grace &amp; Frankie <\/a><\/em>on Netflix, I checked out the options on\u00a0 Hulu and came across <em>Allegiance \u2013 <\/em>a show I had referred to on the virtual pages of <a href=\"http:\/\/happynicetimepeople.com\">HNTP<\/a> as a Frankenstein&#8217;s monster \u2013 an obvious rip-off of <em>The Americans<\/em>, with a damaged-genius detective like\u00a0 <em>Homeland\/Sherlock\/House<\/em> etc, plus whacky <em>Get Smart<\/em> style top secret spy meetings in the depths of Grand Central station, and a ticking time bomb plot like <em>24<\/em>. What a mess!
