A few weeks ago, they featured an awesome column written by Year Zero founder, award-winning spoken-word artist, publishing superhero, and geriatric-rat rescuer, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/books\/2013\/jul\/30\/six-self-publishing-surprises\">Dan Holloway<\/a>. \u00a0Today, the series features\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/books\/2013\/nov\/12\/self-publishing-showcase-larry-harrison\">an interview with Larry Harrison<\/a>, author of the excellent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Glimpses-Floating-World-ebook\/dp\/B003NHSR7A\">Glimpses of a Floating World<\/a>. \u00a0Readers keep saying they want a filter for self-published books. Seems to me <em>The Guardian<\/em> is beginning to provide one. We can only hope other respectable newspapers and magazines will follow. And there&#8217;s some delicious (personal) icing on that cake &#8212; guess who gets a shout-out?<\/p>\n<p>Regarding, <em>Glimpses<\/em>, I can&#8217;t say enough good things, though I tried in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marioninnyc.com\/2010\/01\/30\/soho-serenade-glimpses-of-a-floating-world-book-review\/\">review.<\/a> For whatever reason, it never seemed to catch on in the United States, which given how crazy some of us are for British television, I don&#8217;t quite get.
