First off, there are some fine reviews over at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/product-reviews\/B003VYC7N0\/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&amp;showViewpoints=1\">Amazon UK<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Loisaida-New-York-Story-ebook\/product-reviews\/B003VYC7N0\/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&amp;showViewpoints=1\">Amazon US,<\/a> including a recent one from the infamous Big Al.\u00a0 \u00a0There are also some up at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.goodreads.com\/book\/show\/8794302-loisaida-a-new-york-story\">Goodreads<\/a>.\u00a0 In the past couple of days, there have been some new and interesting reviews.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s one from Goodreads, whose pessimism caught my eye:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;If for nothing else, read it to get a full sense of what New York City used to be (crime-ridden, grimy and immensely interesting) as opposed to the white-washed boring, gentrified piece of crap it&#8217;s become. Made me nostalgic for the home I used to have.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>She may have only given it 4-stars, but she got the point.<\/p>\n<p>Another reviewer in the UK &#8212; where for some odd reason they seem to &#8220;get&#8221; me, went further, so I&#8217;m a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.the-no-hoper.com\/1\/post\/2011\/06\/review-of-loisaida-by-marion-stein.html\">link<\/a> you over to his place.\u00a0 Wow!<\/p>\n<p>By the way,\u00a0 if you follow the first link in this post, you can the paperback for under $10.\u00a0 The e-book price is back up to $2.99, but Amazon is still selling it for 99 cents.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is just another desperate attempt to flog my book.
